Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

Vampire Diaries Set An Awkward Place Due to Nikki Reed Relationship
Ian Joseph Somerhalder s an American actor and model, best known for playing Boone Carlyle in the TV drama Lost and Damon Salvatore in the TV drama The Vampire Diaries.

"The Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder had called it quits for some time now and this has obviously created an awkward atmosphere on-set while filming the final season of the series. This has been further made difficult with Somerhalder bringing in Nikki Reed on-set, and even going as far as flirting with her in front of Dobrev.

Somerhalder and the "Twilight" series actress Reed, had only been dating for a few months after the Dobrev-Somerhalder break-up but the relationship has made for a hostile and tense on-set environment, not only for Dobrev, but also for the production crew of the series, Hollywood Life reported.

The pair had been keeping it professional while shooting the series but Dobrev could allegedly no longer bear having to see Somerhalder flirt with Reed, according to reports.

It prompted Dobrev to think about leaving the show for good if she was to continue seeing the couple on-set.

Her departure is unlikely, however, as the series is on its final season anyway and it would make sense for her to see it through to the end. Still, no matter how professional Dobrev might try to be, it could be difficult to maintain a working relationship.

Dobrev's representatives deny any allegations about a new relationship forming between her and any eligible bachelors in Hollywood.

Damon & Bonnie's Fate on The Vampire Diaries
he last season of The Vampire Diaries ended with a massive cliff-hanger, with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) teetering on the edge of being gone forever. While it's very rare that anyone dies for real on the show, the cast had a little fun with fans at Comic-Con and showed a video that implies the two characters won't return. While Somerhalder and Graham are outraged — Somerhalder: "I even let Paul Wesley direct me!" — the rest of the cast is pretty satisfied. Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola (who was not too pleased with Graham eating her turkey club months ago), and the rest of the cast all appear. The only one who is at all upset is The Originals' Joseph Morgan, whom Somerhalder hilariously refers to as "Joe Mo," and that's just because he doesn't want anyone else getting their own spinoff.
